I graduated from the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in 2010 and have been enjoying getting to know Kamloops ever since. In 2006 I took the one year spa practitioner program offered at OVCMT after which I moved to Salt Spring Island where I worked two summers at a spa. I absolutely loved the work but I realized that I wanted to be better equipped to help people deal with pain and dysfunction. While I appreciate Swedish relaxation massage and it’s many benefits, it doesn’t get to the root causes of conditions the way that therapeutic massage does. In 2008 I returned to Vernon to complete the final two years of the Registered Massage Therapy program from which I graduated in 2010, earning a commendation from the College of Massage Therapists of BC for attaining an average of over 90% on all written and practical registration exams.
My goal with massage therapy is to educate people on how to bring balance into their bodies and to help them achieve their own goals whether those goals are recovering from injury, decreasing pain or just learning to relax. Whether you have a specific condition or injury or are just looking for a well rounded, preventative approach to health care, massage therapy may be just what you’re looking for.
